About the Company
Music for Minors is a Bay Area nonprofit dedicated to nurturing a lifelong love of music in children. Founded in 1976, MFM partners with schools to provide high-quality music education during the school day. Our programs serve preschool and elementary students through engaging, standards-based lessons that include singing, movement, rhythm, instruments, and music from many cultures. MFM partners with Bay Area schools to offer weekly in-classroom music lessons that are hands-on, developmentally appropriate, and aligned with state and national standards. Our skilled music educators incorporate singing, rhythm, movement, and instruments like recorders and percussion to ensure students receive vital music education during their early years. About half of Music for Minors' programs serve under-resourced schools, often being their only source of music instruction.Skills
