Mercury is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to design systems, guardrails, and automation for secure scaling. The role focuses on protecting customer security and privacy while collaborating across teams to address security, privacy, and compliance challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Help build and define cloud security posture.
- Enable cyber resilience and assist with zero trust initiatives.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering teams to enhance cloud security.
- Automate cloud security controls to minimize threats and vulnerabilities.
- Shape AWS cloud architecture for resilience and maintainability.
- Address remote access challenges in a remote-first environment.
Requirement:
- 5+ years of experience in cloud security, networking, or information security.
- Strong desire to learn and grow with a proven track record.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and privacy regulations (NIST CSF, FFIEC, SOX, SOC2, GLBA, ISO27018, PCI-DSS).
- Deep problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Understanding of accepted security practices and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with information as code (IaC) tooling.
- AWS certifications are encouraged.
