Series Planning Engineer for BiW Equipment, Tooling, Press-Parts

Short Summary:
Support and/or lead new tool build, engineering changes, BiW and assembly equipment changes, tool improvement, and provide input regarding feasibility of tool/part/equipment changes being considered.
Responsibilities:
- Review tool/equipment quality, part/assembly quality, tool/assembly process capability.
- Provide tool tracking for new tools and communicate with other departments.
- Participate in process review trials at Anlauffabrik in Germany and at tool supplier locations.
- Prepare and present information for tool and/or product reviews.
- Organize internal and external meetings to clarify problems and report findings.
- Provide feedback to Purchasing regarding supplier obligations.
- Confirm tool cost and piece price.
- Document required product improvements and work with development engineers.
- Support efficiency improvement measures of the Series Planning Department.
- Follow safety rules and report unsafe acts or conditions.
Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related area.
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience in manufacturing engineering with press or body shop equipment.
- Project management experience.
- Knowledge in CAD systems: Siemens NX, SMARAGD.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
