In this role you will be working on projects for one our world famous clients, a large international investment bank. We are seeking a technically strong and hands-on Data Architect to design and own end-to-end data sourcing and integration solutions. This role focuses on architecting scalable, secure, and efficient data pipelines that ingest, process, and publish data from a wide variety of sources—including traditional databases, Hadoop, NoSQL systems, and file-based inputs—into our hybrid data platform spanning Google Cloud and on-premises infrastructure. This is a hands-on role, requiring active participation in solution implementation, including code commits, technical reviews, and close collaboration with engineering teams. Responsibilities

• Provide Level 3 support for technical infrastructure components (e.g. databases, middleware and user interfaces).
• Perform problem and root cause analysis for application production incidents and delivers the necessary resolution pack (i.e. hotfixes, patches).
• Provide L3 Support and remediation on any issues pertaining to the above applications by providing detailed code analysis of applications’ production platform. Remediate incidents/outages pertaining to the platform.
• Estimate time required to implement remediation actions.
• Support and contribute to all relevant documentation following our Client's internal Standards, Procedures and Guidelines.
• Ensure appropriate vendor interaction in a multi-vendor environment.
• Conduct incident and problem management activities
• Attend regular Change Management Boards for regular changes/releases
• Conduct regularly-scheduled Problem Management meetings with IT Product Owners and key stakeholders, infrastructure groups, problem managers and incident managers to track progress and highlight issues.
• Perform detailed technology analyses to highlight weaknesses and make recommendations for improvement.

SKILLS

Must have

• Strong experience with HA infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of Linux RedHat, Apache Webserver, Java Application servers, Load balancers, Oracle Databases
• Experience with any cloud-based infrastructure (GCP/AWS/Azure), highly available and fault tolerant applications. o Our Client's tech stack: - GCP (GKE, CloudSQL, CloudMonitoring etc), but any other public cloud experience is relevant - Kubernetes - Terraform - Confluent Kafka - GitHub Actions - Helm
• Good understanding of infrastructure and platform components: o Linux and shell scripting, Python o DBMS and SQL (Oracle) o Container management: OpenShift (Docker, Kubernetes) o Middleware: IBM MQ, Solace, JMS, Kafka o Application layer protocols (TLS/SSL, HTTP(S), DNS, etc) o Version control systems (preferably GIT)
• Good understanding of deployment strategies (such as BlueGreen, Canary, A/B)
• Experience in monitoring/reporting tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Geneos etc
• Experience in Agile practices
• Previous production support experience, with can do mind-set and attitude and hands-on mentality
• Ability to analyse business requirements, defects and propose hot fixes
• Ability to work effectively with senior IT and business stakeholders
• A creative approach towards solving technical problems
• Able to work efficiently with colleagues in multiple locations
• Willing to collaborate across domains, for efficiency in technology sharing and reuse
• Excellent communication skills in English
