Short Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in the Avaloq core banking platform to join our Change & Transformation team. This role supports the delivery of strategic initiatives across our Banking and Wealth Management divisions.
Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements from stakeholders across Wealth Management, Private Banking, and Operations functions
- Act as a subject matter expert on the Avaloq core banking system
- Produce high-quality business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specifications, process maps, and user stories
- Work with Avaloq's Business Rule Framework, Script Language, and Reporting tools
- Liaise with Avaloq vendor teams and internal developers
- Support system testing, including test case design, UAT coordination, and defect triage
- Analyse current-state processes and design improved future-state processes
- Support regulatory and compliance-driven change initiatives
- Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirement walkthroughs
- Produce clear documentation and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Support project managers with planning, RAID logs, and status reporting
Requirement:
- Proven experience (10+) as a Business Analyst within Banking or Wealth Management
- Hands-on experience with the Avaloq Banking Suite
- Strong understanding of Wealth Management processes
- Experience writing BRDs, functional specifications, and user stories
- Solid understanding of core banking operations and financial products
- Experience with UAT planning, execution, and defect management
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks affecting UK wealth and private banking
- Proficiency with requirements/documentation tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Visio, MS Office)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or related field
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CBAP, BCS Business Analysis Diploma) advantageous
