Short Summary:
Loft Orbital is seeking a mid-level Manufacturing Engineer to enhance production capabilities and ensure the efficient delivery of high-quality satellite systems.
Responsibilities:
- Design and optimize manufacturing processes for satellite components and systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop manufacturing strategies and plans
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality
- Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and develop corrective actions
- Support production teams with technical guidance and troubleshooting
Requirement:
- 8+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in aerospace or high-tech environments
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC Machining, hand-soldering, harness fabrication) and foundational knowledge of engineering concepts
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
- Familiarity with aerospace standards and regulations (e.g., AS9100, IPC, NASA and/or ECSS)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented mindset
