Learning Support Advisor II

Location: San Antonio, TX

Position Summary

The Learning Support Advisor II provides operational, logistical, and administrative support for Learning and Development programs across the Association. This intermediate-level role helps ensure learning initiatives are effectively planned, scheduled, coordinated, and delivered on time.

Working closely with learning leaders, facilitators, learning performance consultants, content managers, business partners, and other stakeholders, the Learning Support Advisor II coordinates learning resources, facilities, instructors, course offerings, and participant communications. The successful candidate will be highly organized, service-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate resources, facilitators, learners, and learning spaces for training programs.

  • Schedule learning events according to established planning and request processes.

  • Match training requirements with appropriate facilities based on room capacity, technology, equipment, configuration, and instructor availability.

  • Build and maintain courses, offerings, curricula, learning paths, and related requirements in the learning management system.

  • Maintain course setup standards, operational processes, and program documentation.

  • Provide preparation, resourcing, and delivery support to Learning and Development teams.

  • Support instructors, facilitators, participants, and business partners before, during, and after learning events.

  • Oversee learning-space readiness and troubleshoot basic classroom or technology issues.

  • Escalate technical, scheduling, or operational issues when additional support is required.

  • Prepare learning communications and ensure operational processes are clearly communicated to customers and business partners.

  • Track training activity, participation, compliance, and other learning metrics.

  • Use reporting and data-analysis tools to identify trends and support business decisions.

  • Collaborate with team members and customers to resolve moderately complex to complex issues.

  • Maintain a high level of customer service while managing competing deadlines and priorities.

  • Identify, monitor, and control risks associated with learning activities in accordance with applicable risk and compliance policies.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least two years of Learning and Development experience involving administration, analysis, resource coordination, training operations, or a related function.

  • At least two years of experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume, and dynamic environment.

  • At least two years of advanced Microsoft Office and data-analysis experience.

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, Text to Columns, macros, and related data-management features.

  • Experience using a learning management system to create and maintain courses and learning offerings.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with facilitators, business partners, stakeholders, and learners.

  • Ability to troubleshoot basic classroom, technology, and learning-delivery issues and escalate them appropriately.
