Short Summary:
Kodify is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to enhance their data platform, supporting products that serve close to 100M unique visitors monthly. The role involves building robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and collaborating with various teams to deliver reliable insights.
Responsibilities:
- Evolve a data platform supporting high traffic.
- Design, build, and own data pipelines from various source systems into the warehouse.
- Make decisions about ingestion, storage, transformation, and serving layers.
- Drive the dbt project, ensuring structure, testing, and documentation.
- Own and evolve the semantic layer for consistent metric definitions.
- Champion data cataloging, documentation, and lineage.
- Ensure data quality through tests, monitoring, and SLAs.
- Optimize warehouse and query performance.
- Collaborate with BI, Product, Development, Marketing, and Finance teams.
- Mentor the BI/Data team on SQL, dbt, Python, and engineering practices.
Requirement:
- Senior-level experience as a Data Engineer or similar.
- Expert-level PostgreSQL skills.
- Hands-on experience with columnar/analytical databases (ClickHouse preferred).
- Strong production experience with dbt and semantic/metrics layers.
- Experience with data cataloging and lineage tooling.
- Solid Python skills for data engineering.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB as source systems.
- Strong sense of ownership and team collaboration.
- Passionate about testing and clean code.
