Short Summary:
Kickstarter is seeking an Event Marketer to join the Marketing team, responsible for transforming ideas into memorable experiences for creators, backers, partners, and cultural communities. This role requires a blend of creative thinking and operational discipline.

Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute Kickstarter’s portfolio of brand, creator, category, industry, and community events.
- Translate strategic and creative concepts into clear event plans, production timelines, budgets, and onsite experiences.
- Collaborate with various teams to define each event’s audience, purpose, creative direction, and measures of success.
- Develop distinctive event formats and experiences meaningful to the communities served.
- Own end-to-end event operations, including venues, vendors, production, staffing, travel, and guest experience.
- Source, negotiate with, and manage agencies, fabricators, production teams, and other event partners.
- Build and maintain a strong network of trusted vendors and cultural partners.
- Manage event budgets creatively, maximizing impact without compromising quality.
- Establish repeatable planning tools and processes for efficient execution across multiple events.
- Anticipate challenges and keep collaborators aligned throughout the planning process.
- Partner with Communications and Marketing to extend event impact through content and post-event engagement.
- Evaluate event performance and apply insights for future improvements.

Requirement:
- Experience producing brand, cultural, community, or experiential events from concept through completion.
- Strong creative instinct with practical ability to create compelling experiences.
- Exceptional project management, organizational, and budget-management skills.
- Established relationships with high-quality vendors and event specialists.
- Confidence managing multiple workstreams and deadlines while maintaining guest experience.
- Strong negotiation skills and resourcefulness with budgets.
- Calm, solutions-oriented approach to changes and challenges of events.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Understanding of how events support brand building and community development.
- Enthusiasm for Kickstarter’s mission and the creative communities served.
