Short Summary:
Iterable is the leading AI-powered customer engagement platform, helping brands create dynamic, individualized experiences. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will improve the platform foundations that Iterable engineers rely on to build, test, deploy, and operate services safely at scale.
Responsibilities:
- Improve the systems engineers use to build, test, package, deploy, and validate changes.
- Evolve common libraries, build patterns, service templates, and internal platform capabilities.
- Drive improvements to CI performance, capacity, and reliability.
- Own and improve control-plane systems for delivery, including GitOps workflows and self-service deployment tooling.
- Help operate and improve Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure.
- Diagnose and solve recurring friction across build, CI, deploy, and runtime systems.
- Apply AI tools for platform engineering tasks.
- Work closely with service teams and technical leaders to guide adoption and explain trade-offs.
Requirement:
- Strong software engineering fundamentals in Scala, Java, Kotlin, or another production language.
- Experience owning developer platform or infrastructure systems.
- Strong knowledge of build systems and delivery workflows; familiarity with Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and Bazel.
- Ability to debug complex failures across various systems.
- Experience leading migrations or foundational platform changes.
- Product-minded approach to internal platform engineering.
- Comfort using AI tools for engineering work.
- Clear communicator across product engineering, infrastructure, and security teams.
