Short Summary:
The Controller – Real Estate is responsible for the accounting oversight of real estate investments and fund financial reporting, including treasury, coordination of annual audits, and fund level tax filings. This role collaborates with various stakeholders to ensure accurate performance and financial reporting of real estate products.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee third-party fund administrators and service providers, ensuring service quality and timely financial reporting.
- Serve as the key contact for accounting, NAV close, allocation, valuation, audit, performance, and treasury matters.
- Implement process changes and system initiatives to enhance financial reporting efficiency and accuracy.
- Communicate effectively with global team members, internal stakeholders, and external clients.
Requirement:
- CPA required; 10+ years of experience in fund finance, operations management, or related finance experience, with significant real estate expertise.
- Experience managing complex fund operations, including financial and investor reporting, liquidity management, and strategic business support.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop teams while managing third-party administrators.
- Strong technical accounting expertise, including knowledge of US GAAP and complex accounting guidance related to real estate fund structures.
