AI Tech Lead

We are looking for an AI Tech Lead to join our team and help drive the adoption of AI-first engineering practices across delivery projects, teams, and internal initiatives.

The Role

We are looking for a hands-on AI Tech Lead who actively uses AI coding agents in daily development and can demonstrate real production experience.

In this role, you will combine technical leadership, software delivery, mentoring, and engineering excellence. You will help establish AI-first development practices, support the growth of engineering talent, contribute to hiring, and drive successful delivery for international clients.

Working closely with our CTO and engineering teams, you will play a key role in shaping how we build software with AI across the organization.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Lead engineering delivery for AI-driven client projects
• Establish and maintain high technical standards across teams
• Drive adoption of AI agents and AI-native development workflows
• Mentor engineers and help them become productive AI-enabled developers
• Contribute to the design and development of the AI Engineering School
• Transform internal methodologies and delivery practices into scalable learning programs
• Participate in technical interviews and hiring decisions
• Support onboarding and professional growth of new engineers
• Collaborate closely with the CTO on engineering excellence and delivery strategy
• Take ownership of project outcomes, technical quality, and successful delivery for European and US customers
• Promote a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and knowledge sharing
• Evaluate and introduce new AI tools and practices that improve engineering productivity

Our Expectations of the Candidate

• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience
• Proven experience using AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools as part of daily development workflows
• Ability to demonstrate practical use of AI-assisted engineering during the interview process
• Strong experience leading technical delivery and making architecture decisions
• Proven track record of delivering projects end-to-end, including planning, implementation, production support, and stakeholder communication
• Experience working with fixed-price projects and delivery ownership
• Strong mentoring and coaching skills with the ability to help junior engineers grow quickly

English level: Upper-Intermediate or higher

Nice-to-have

• Startup or Founding Engineer experience
• Experience building AI-powered products or AI-enabled delivery processes
• Experience creating internal training programs, technical courses, or mentoring initiatives
• Experience leading engineering communities, workshops, or knowledge-sharing programs
• Previous experience working with international distributed teams
