Short Summary:
The Maintenance Assistant / Driver is responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of residents while transporting them to and from activities and appointments.
Responsibilities:
- Safely transports residents to and from outings and appointments.
- Communicates with facility to ensure accurate drop-off and pick-up of residents.
- Ensures the bus has sufficient fuel and maintains it in safe working condition.
- Assists residents onto and off the bus using necessary equipment.
- Reports any accidents or incidents immediately.
- Assists in transportation training of staff or volunteers.
- Complies with privacy practices and state/federal laws.
- Demonstrates teamwork and regular attendance.
Requirement:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current operator's/driver's license.
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
- CPR/First Aid preferred.
- One to three months of transporting experience preferred.
