Short Summary:
Human Rights Watch (HRW) seeks a Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to strengthen forecasting, planning, internal reporting, and decision-support capabilities in a global organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead components of the annual budgeting cycle, forecasting, and multi-year planning across divisions and functions.
- Build trusted partnerships with program leadership and administrators to understand needs and translate them into analyses and recommendations.
- Deliver timely, accurate internal reporting and decision support.
- Develop and maintain financial models and forecasting tools; improve processes and data flows.
- Support and build dashboards and self-service analytics.
- Advance continuous improvement initiatives in partnership with technology and accounting.
- Provide advice on strategy development and its implementation.
- Help shape and monitor financial KPIs tied to operational and strategic plans.
- Support revenue planning in coordination with Grants and Development teams.
- Communicate complex financial insights clearly to various audiences.
Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience required.
- At least five years of progressive experience in FP&A or strategic finance.
- Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to tailor messages for non-financial audiences.
- Experience in nonprofit/NGO environments preferred.
