Short Summary:
The Deputy Bureau Chief of Utilities works in the Department of Public Works (DPW), Bureau of Utilities, managing technical and engineering programs supporting the County's water distribution, wastewater collection, and water reclamation plant.
Responsibilities:
- Managing operations and overseeing compliance
- Administering budget
- Leading emergency response and planning programs
- Ensuring regulatory compliance with federal, state, and local requirements
- Overseeing financial operations, including budget development and procurement
- Coordinating with regional utility providers and regulatory agencies
Requirement:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and six (6) years of related experience
- State of Maryland Registered Professional Engineer and/or Maryland Licensed Architect required
- Experience with utility operations, regulatory compliance, budgeting, and emergency response
