Short Summary:
As a (Senior) Finance Business Partner, you will conduct in-depth analyses of financial results, prepare forecasts, and collaborate with various departments to support financial and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth analyses of financial closing and reporting results, providing insightful commentary and delivering reports and reconciliations to senior management.
- Prepare and support forecasting and planning processes, ensuring accurate results and strategic alignment.
- Collaborate closely with the Line of Business and other CFO departments, ensuring seamless coordination and information flow.
- Contribute to target setting and performance steering activities, supporting the achievement of financial and strategic objectives.
- Perform economic analyses for the Line of Business, providing valuable insights to senior financial management.
- Drive the continuous enhancement of steering, controlling, and reporting processes, tools, and methodologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives, contributing expertise and analytical input to achieve business objectives.
Requirement:
- Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, or a comparable field.
- Experience in a controlling, actuarial, or accounting function within the (re)insurance industry is an advantage.
- Familiarity with German GAAP (HGB) and/or IFRS reporting standards (IFRS17) is an advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex business topics and derive actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information effectively to a variety of stakeholders.
- Collaborative team player with a proactive mindset and a drive for continuous improvement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI, Snowflake/SQL and Copilot knowledge is a plus.
- Fluent in English (C1) written and spoken; additional fluent in German (min. B2) written and spoken.
