Short Summary:
Guerrilla is seeking an experienced Technical Director to lead technology across game development teams, guiding the studio’s technical vision and overseeing the Decima engine's development.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and direction to engineering teams across multiple disciplines.
- Partner with engineering, art, design, production, and studio leadership to align technology strategy with creative ambitions.
- Define long-term technical direction and support day-to-day execution.
- Be a key stakeholder in the Decima roadmap, providing feedback and insights.
- Evaluate technical risks and opportunities with production and the Decima team.
- Contribute to hiring, team development, and organizational design within the technology group.
- Ensure technical solutions are scalable and maintainable.
- Mentor senior engineers and technical leads.
- Analyze technology shortcomings and dependencies.
- Inspire the team with a vision of creative and technological excellence.
Requirement:
- Senior technical management experience in the video games industry.
- Proven experience shipping AAA games or large-scale interactive projects.
- Strong programming skills in C++.
- Background in gameplay systems, engine development, online game technology, and rendering/graphics programming.
- Understanding of modern game engine architecture and performance optimization.
- Ability to translate creative goals into technical plans.
- Passion for online and single-player gaming.
