Short Summary:
The Gates Foundation is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to design, build, and deploy AI solutions that support foundation and affiliate staff globally. This role involves translating problem statements into technical solutions and executing AI initiatives.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement agentic AI systems, including multi-step workflows and autonomous task orchestration.
- Design, build, and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions using Python and Microsoft Azure.
- Integrate AI capabilities into enterprise applications through APIs and microservices.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to deliver AI solutions.
- Contribute to solution design, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Deploy, monitor, and optimize AI solutions in Azure.
- Stay current with emerging AI technologies and identify opportunities for enhancement.

Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; typically requires an advanced degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python and hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools.
- Experience with LLMs, agentic systems, and cloud technologies, preferably Azure.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across geographic and cultural boundaries.
- Knowledge of ethics in AI and agile development methodologies.
