Short Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant performs various patient care activities and related nonprofessional services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. This includes assisting with patient cleaning, feeding, and preparation for treatment, taking and recording vital signs, and supporting nursing service personnel with various patient care duties.
Responsibilities:
- Properly identifies patients by requesting their name and DOB prior to interactions.
- Obtains and documents vital signs (weight, height, blood pressure, pulse, respirations).
- Reports any unusual incidents or changes in patient condition to appropriate personnel.
- Ensures confidentiality of protected patient health information.
- Prepares, stocks, and cleans exam rooms and maintains supplies and equipment for patient care.
- Participates in quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintains a safe and therapeutic healthcare environment.
- Coordinates patient flow to ensure physician efficiency.
Requirement:
- High school education.
- CNA credential.
- Communication and customer service skills required.
