Short Summary:
Flexport is seeking a Customs Associate to join their customs operations team, ensuring the smooth movement of goods into Canada and supporting compliance goals for end customers.
Responsibilities:
- Create and submit customs entries for high profile clients
- Digitally prepare and submit all documentation required for goods to clear with CBSA
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all regulations and procedures of the CBSA and Participating Government Agencies (PGA’s)
- Review and organize incoming documents to ensure compliance with CBSA and PGA reporting requirements
- Provide exceptional customer service support to clients
- Learn and follow global customs laws, regulations, and trade agreements
- Participate in training programs to enhance knowledge of customs compliance
Requirement:
- CCS Designation
- Good understanding of CARM
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Understanding of international trade and customs regulations (previous experience is a must)
- Familiarity with CBSA product classification and rulings
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Proficient computer skills, including G Suite applications
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing customs practices and regulations
- Strong work ethic and commitment to accuracy and compliance
