Short Summary:
Be our in-house technical expert! Evolving Web has an opening for a WordPress Architect. You'll work closely with our developers, designers, project managers, and clients to create beautiful and quality websites and apps that improve organizations and communities.
Responsibilities:
- Work with a team of developers, designers, and project managers
- Scope and architect technical solutions with internal and client teams
- Create documentation for internal use, as well as for clients, such as technical specifications and scope documents
- Advise and manage teams to produce measurable results
- Take ownership of project success, including meeting requirements, timelines, and budgets (with project managers)
Requirement:
- More than 5 years of WordPress development experience, as well as technical leadership experience
- Modern WordPress expertise - the block editor and block themes
- Experience with enterprise-level projects
- Ability to maintain a high-level view of projects and deliver solutions
- Actively involved in the WordPress community; core contributions, plugin developer, documentation, contributing at WordCamps/Meetups, etc.
- Possess a wide range of technical experience, such as core web technologies (HTTP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, caching layers, SQL), NPM, Webpack, Docker, DevOps, Gitlab CI/CD
- Expertise in performance optimization techniques and architecting highly scalable WordPress solutions
- Knowledge of security best practices in web application development
- Proven experience working with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams on pre-sales scoping and project estimation
- Strong communication skills in both French and English
