Short Summary:
The Director, Claims & Clinical Testing will lead e.l.f. Beauty’s global substantiation program, managing claims governance, study strategy, and translating scientific outcomes into consumer-relevant claims. This role involves collaboration with various departments and spans multiple product categories.

Responsibilities:
- Maintain a streamlined claims governance framework for fast, compliant approvals.
- Centralize substantiation materials and maintain audit-ready documentation.
- Define clinical and consumer study strategies aligned with product intent.
- Design protocols to substantiate efficacy claims from feasibility through commercialization.
- Oversee execution with external labs/CROs and ensure timely delivery of reports.
- Translate scientific data into consumer-friendly claims and educational assets.
- Partner with Product Innovation/Marketing to ensure accurate claims storytelling.
- Identify and assess emerging ingredient technologies.
- Monitor competitive claims and latest research in relevant categories.
- Build and manage relationships with external testing labs.
- Maintain dashboards for study status and inquiry turnaround.

Requirement:
- BS/MS in chemistry, biology, or related technical disciplines; MS or PhD preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in claims support and clinical testing.
- Proficient in statistical analysis, study design, and good clinical practices.
- Proven experience in clinical method development and innovative clinical designs.
- Strong organizational planning and project management skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and with external partners globally.
- Familiar with global SPF testing methods and hair care testing methodology.
