Dojo is seeking a Machine Learning Data Scientist to design, build, and deploy scalable models and algorithmic systems for automated decisions, focusing on fraud prevention and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Own workstreams: Drive technical projects from ideation to production, anticipating domain problems and aligning your roadmap with key commercial levers.
- Design pragmatic systems: Tackle complex modeling problems and design end-to-end ML systems, prioritizing robustness and maintainability.
- Formulate optimization solutions: Build numerical optimizers, tune solvers, and design custom heuristics.
- Maintain production rigor: Monitor live models for drift and prevent train/serve skew.
- Write production-grade code: Develop well-structured, tested Python and SQL at scale.
- Drive AI workflows: Leverage AI tools to boost development productivity while verifying output logic.
Requirement:
- Strong statistical background for model evaluation and diagnosing failures.
- Experience in numerical optimization problems and designing heuristic algorithms.
- Mastery of Python, Databricks, and scalable SQL.
- Practical experience with maintaining live models and CI/CD pipelines.
- Commitment to evaluating models rigorously and communicating limitations.
- Track record of owning components end-to-end and mentoring junior peers.
