Short Summary:
Datadog Notebooks provide a collaborative surface for ad-hoc data analysis and technical documentation. The role involves building AI-assisted workflows to enhance user collaboration with Notebooks and AI agents.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and delivery of AI-powered product experiences for Notebooks.
- Develop systems combining deterministic product capabilities with LLM-powered experiences.
- Partner closely with Product Managers to translate customer problems into technical decisions.
- Build experiences that enable Datadog capabilities within third-party AI platforms.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship, establishing AI engineering best practices.
- Own production systems, ensuring reliable backend services and being on-call for those services.

Requirement:
- Experience with Go, Python, or similar systems programming languages.
- 6+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Hands-on experience delivering production AI-powered products using LLM technologies.
- Strong product mindset connecting technical decisions to customer outcomes.
- Experience building reliable systems managing model non-determinism.
