Position Overview

Seeking an experienced Data Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable data engineering solutions within a fast-paced delivery environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with SQL, Snowflake, DBT, and data warehousing, with additional Python and workflow orchestration experience preferred.

Candidates should have independently contributed to at least 2–3 mid-to-large-scale development projects and be comfortable owning technical deliverables from development through testing and production support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries and data transformations.
  • Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using DBT.
  • Develop and support data solutions within Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse platforms.
  • Apply data modeling, data warehousing, and data quality best practices.
  • Support end-to-end data engineering solutions and troubleshoot data-related issues.
  • Develop unit tests to ensure data accuracy, reliability, and quality.
  • Identify technical risks and proactively drive issues through resolution.
  • Use Python for scripting, automation, and data processing as needed.
  • Support job scheduling and workflow orchestration using Control-M or similar tools.
  • Provide accurate and timely status updates on technical deliverables.
  • Collaborate with developers, analysts, and business partners in an Agile environment.
  • Document technical solutions and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of advanced SQL experience, including complex queries and data transformations.
  • 3+ years of data warehousing experience, including data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data quality.
  • 3+ years of Snowflake or comparable cloud data warehouse experience.
  • Hands-on experience with DBT or similar data transformation tools.
  • Experience independently contributing to multiple mid-to-large development projects.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced Agile delivery environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Python experience for automation, scripting, and data processing.
  • Experience with Control-M or similar scheduling/orchestration platforms.
  • Strong understanding of scalable data engineering architecture and development best practices.
