Short Summary:
As a U.S. Public Policy and AI Innovation intern, you will support Cloudflare’s Public Policy teams in navigating tech policy and building AI-driven tools to enhance policy work.

Responsibilities:
- Maintaining internal policy knowledge bases and issue trackers.
- Monitoring and evaluating U.S. federal, state, and local legislation for impact on Cloudflare products.
- Drafting talking points, policy messaging, and presentation materials.
- Collaborating with internal teams on regulatory inquiries and high-stakes policy issues.
- Designing AI-driven prototypes and developing internal AI interfaces.
- Leveraging AI tools to synthesize public policy data into actionable insights.

Requirement:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in technology, engineering, public policy, law, or a related field.
- Available for a full-time 12-week internship in Washington D.C. 3-5 days a week during the fall (Sept-Dec).
- Strong interest in Internet and technology policy, cybersecurity, privacy, and AI issues.
- Prior experience building and deploying AI tools.
- Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Self-starter mentality and ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English.
