Short Summary:
Cloudflare is seeking an experienced, product-minded principal software engineer to lead the development of the Town Lake data infrastructure, enhancing data accessibility and value across the company.

Responsibilities:
- Define, design and execute strategic technical architecture for critical data infrastructure.
- Lead the design and development of tools and infrastructure to improve and scale data infrastructure.
- Develop data pipelines and products to serve customers throughout the company.
- Become a subject matter expert on data platforms and guide stakeholders.
- Work across tech stack including Kubernetes, Trino, Iceberg, Clickhouse, and PostgreSQL.
- Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of exceptional delivery.

Requirement:
- 8+ years of experience as a software engineer focused on data infrastructure.
- Proven experience leading technical initiatives in a cross-functional context.
- Extensive experience with data infrastructure tools like Trino, Spark, Iceberg/Delta Lake, Kafka, Clickhouse, PostgreSQL.
- Proficient in backend languages such as Go, Python, Typescript, and Rust, along with SQL.
- Excellent analytical skills and strong communication skills.
- Experience with agentic development workflows and an AI-first mentality.
