Short Summary:
A Land Agent job is available with the City of Fort Worth in the Property Management Department, Real Estate Division. This position is responsible for acquiring property interests for public and private City-related infrastructure projects through offers, negotiations, and eminent domain processes.
Responsibilities:
- Acquire property interests in easements or fee simple title for capital improvement projects.
- Prepare eminent domain documentation and formal written approvals for Mayor and Council.
- Inspect property, obtain and review appraisals, conduct negotiations, and secure signatures on agreements.
- Provide relocation assistance to displaced property owners.
- Act as a liaison between the City Aviation Department and project consultants on federally funded projects.
- Assist in leasing mineral interests and resolving real estate title issues.
- Negotiate contracts and monitor contract implementation.
- Create and prepare written reports on project status.
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, real estate, urban planning, or a related field.
- Two years of experience in real estate transactions, title examination, or real estate funding.
- Possession of or ability to obtain a Notary Public Certificate.
- Valid Texas driver's license.
