Short Summary:
A Housing Rehab Tech II job is available with the City of Fort Worth Neighborhood Services Department. This position contributes to the City’s strategic goals by protecting affordable housing and assisting low-income residents.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct home inspections and develop work write-ups
- Assess environmental reviews and communicate with contractors
- Ensure contractor work meets quality standards
- Handle calls from contractors and applicants, responding to questions and complaints
- Assist in surveying and inspecting dwelling units
- Write clear work specifications for home repair
- Calculate rehabilitation cost estimates
- Monitor rehabilitation work in progress and communicate with applicants
Requirement:
- Associate’s Degree in business administration, accounting, social services, or related fields
- Two years of experience in residential construction, rehabilitation, housing programs, inspections, or code enforcement
- Valid Texas Driver’s License
- Preferred: Experience with computer-based software applications, customer service, residential energy efficiency, and knowledge of CDBG-DR requirements
