Short Summary:
Fort Worth Water is hiring Equipment Operators (Dump Truck) to support essential infrastructure work in the city. This hands-on role involves operating heavy equipment, maintaining water and wastewater systems, and responding to emergencies.
Responsibilities:
- Operate Dump Trucks & Equipment: Safely load, transport, and unload heavy equipment and materials.
- Water & Wastewater Systems: Assist with construction, repair, maintenance, and inspection of piping systems.
- Physical Labor: Perform manual labor for installation, repair, and maintenance of water infrastructure.
- Adhere to Safety Standards: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
- Field Support: Assist with equipment maintenance, traffic control, and general construction tasks.
- Tools & Equipment Operation: Use hand tools and motorized equipment for various tasks.
- Material Handling: Efficiently load and unload materials, equipment, and tools on-site.
Requirement:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Texas Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class A with an acceptable driving record.
- Minimum of one year of experience operating motorized equipment, including dump trucks.
- Ability to pass a test-out assessment on heavy equipment during the interview process.
- Flexibility to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Must be comfortable working outdoors in extreme weather conditions and lifting up to 100 pounds.
