Short Summary:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing key accounting functions that support the company's financial operations and compliance requirements, including payroll accounting, state tax compliance, revenue recognition, and grant accounting.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the bi-weekly payroll process.
- Prepare and reconcile payroll-related journal entries.
- Ensure timely payroll tax filings and compliance.
- Prepare monthly revenue recognition calculations in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Maintain accounting records for grant-funded programs.
- Serve as a primary owner of the general ledger alongside the Controller.
- Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and management reporting packages.
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve accounting processes.

Requirement:
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
- Experience with payroll accounting and multi-state payroll tax compliance.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
