Short Summary:
This role leads communications for Block's lending and financial access initiatives across core businesses, including Square, Cash App, and Square Financial Services. You'll develop a cohesive corporate narrative and support business growth through effective communication strategies.

Responsibilities:
- Own communications strategy for Block's lending and financial access initiatives.
- Develop a cohesive corporate narrative connecting lending, banking, and financial institution initiatives.
- Partner with various teams to create executive messaging and thought leadership.
- Build storytelling campaigns demonstrating Block's impact on financial access.
- Manage an ongoing communications program featuring customer and seller stories.
- Support executive communications, media engagement, and key business milestones.
- Ensure consistent narratives across Block's external storytelling.

Requirement:
- Experience in corporate communications, financial services communications, or fintech.
- Exceptional writing and storytelling skills.
- Experience developing proactive communications strategies.
- Strong executive communications experience.
- Excellent cross-functional partnership skills.
- Experience managing media relationships.
- Strong judgment in complex communications situations.
- A builder's mindset for creating new narratives and improving communication programs.
