Short Summary:
Bitvavo is seeking a Senior Market Abuse Compliance Officer to enhance its market abuse surveillance and control framework, ensuring compliance with MiCAR, MAR, and MiFID II regulations.

Responsibilities:
- Own and continuously improve the market abuse surveillance framework, covering insider dealing, unlawful disclosure, and market manipulation.
- Lead investigations into surveillance alerts and escalations, documenting findings and filing Suspicious Transaction and Order Reports (STORs).
- Drive significant, cross-functional projects with high autonomy and accountability.
- Contribute to the design of compliance policies, procedures, and tools.
- Partner with Trading, Legal, Risk, and Product teams for strategic compliance outcomes.
- Prepare management information and reporting on market abuse risk for senior management and the Board.
- Represent the firm in interactions with regulators on market abuse matters.

Requirement:
- 6+ years of relevant compliance/surveillance/regulatory experience, focusing on market abuse in a MiFID II-regulated company.
- Deep knowledge of MAR, MiFID II/MiFIR, and related technical standards.
- Hands-on experience with trade surveillance systems and leading market abuse investigations.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Experience in contributing to or owning compliance policies and procedures.
- Comfortable engaging with regulators and senior stakeholders.
- Excellent written communication skills.
