Job Title: Social Media Intern (Unpaid)

Organization: Austin Disaster Relief Network

Location: Remote

Internship Duration: 3 months, 6 months, or 12 months

Overview: Austin Disaster Relief Network is seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to join

our team as a Social Media Intern. As a Social Media Intern, you will work closely with our Marketing and Communications team to develop and execute social media campaigns that engage our audience and support our mission.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the creation of social media content, including writing and editing posts for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and other relevant platforms.
• Assist with the management of our social media presence, including scheduling posts, responding to comments, and monitoring analytics.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and implement social media campaigns that support our mission and goals.
• Research and recommend new social media platforms and strategies to increase our online visibility and engagement.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions about social media strategy and tactics.

Requirements

• Strong writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience using social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
• Familiarity with social media analytics tools such as Sprout Social, Brandwatch/Falcon, and Google Analytics.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects.
• A passion for social media and a strong interest in non-profit organizations and their role in creating positive change in the world.
• Must be able to commit to the time duration discussed, and have a flexible schedule especially during times of disaster response. This is an unpaid internship opportunity, but the selected candidate will gain valuable experience in the field of social media and non-profit marketing, as well as a strong reference for future job opportunities.
