POSITION SUMMARY

The Delivery Driver – Warehouse is responsible for executing daily beer deliveries throughout the greater Bay Area while supporting warehouse operations. This role ensures accurate deliveries, maintains product quality standards, and contributes to overall operational efficiency across distribution and production. This position plays a critical role in maintaining strong customer relationships and ensuring our beer reaches accounts safely, accurately, and on time. Delivery Drivers serve as key brand representatives in the field while also supporting warehouse and production needs behind the scenes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

ROUTE & DELIVERY OPERATIONS

• Safely deliver kegs and packaged beer to customers
• Verify trucks/vans are loaded accurately and reconcile invoices daily
• Assist in structuring and executing efficient delivery routes
• Collect empty kegs and return them to the brewery
• Communicate with customers and internal teams to ensure a positive delivery experience
• Utilize in-house delivery and inventory software (EKOS & Routific)

CUSTOMER SERVICE & ACCOUNT SUPPORT

• Represent Altamont Beer Works professionally at all customer locations
• Collaborate with Sales on special deliveries, tap handles, and marketing materials
• Address customer concerns and communicate/resolve issues in a timely and professional manner

QUALITY CONTROL & COMPLIANCE

• Perform quality checks to ensure product is within code and meets company standards
• Troubleshoot and communicate any product issues
• Maintain compliance with company distribution and safety standards

FLEET & EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE

• Ensure delivery vehicles are cleaned, fueled, and ready for daily use
• Monitor vehicle condition and communicate maintenance needs
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely

WAREHOUSE & PRODUCTION SUPPORT

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse and brewery spaces
• Clean, fill, and store kegs appropriately
• Assist with canning line operations by unloading, palletizing, and storing product
• Support inventory organization and cold storage management

QUALIFICATIONS

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to work independently and stay self-motivated
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Comfortable adapting to changing schedules and priorities
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Experience in warehouse, manufacturing, or delivery environments
• Experience driving larger vehicles

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs regularly
• Frequent bending, lifting, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Ability to perform repetitive motions throughout shift
• Ability to work in retail environments with varying temperatures

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Fast-paced taproom environment with high guest interaction
• Work performed in both indoor and outdoor settings
• Exposure to varying temperatures, including cold storage areas
• Moderate to loud noise levels during peak hours and events
• May involve working around cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm may be present at the worksite
