Short Summary:
Affirm is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Card Acquisition team within the Consumer org, responsible for defining long-term technical strategy and mentoring engineers.

Responsibilities:
- Own and deliver quarterly goals for your team.
- Lead engineers through ambiguity to solve open-ended problems.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics.
- Identify and advocate for project, process, technology, or business issues.
- Ensure team operations and availability with proper monitoring and policies.
- Foster a culture of quality and ownership through code review and design standards.
- Develop talent on your team by providing feedback and guidance.
- Participate in an on-call rotation as required.

Requirement:
- 4+ years of experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale using languages like Python or Kotlin.
- Experience with highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.
